St John Southworth Catholic Academy Trust Pupil Chaplain Retreat Day

Three members of the Pupil Chaplaincy Team, joined with other pupils from St John Southworth Catholic Academy Trust (SJSCAT) for the first ever Pupil Chaplin Retreat day.
They were welcomed into Westminster Cathedral by SJSCAT Lay Chaplain, Caroline Moulinet and cathedral staff and given a brief history about the building. After listening to a detailed account of St John Southworth's life, the pupils were guided through the Cathedral and were able to see the crypts, the chapel of St Thomas of Canterbury and where the mortal remains of Saint John Southworth are kept.
The children then had a session to discuss the Trust's values of, ‘Dignity, Service and Perseverance' and how as chaplains, they can model and uphold these values in their schools.
