Preferential Option for the Poor

Preferential option for the poor means prioritising the needs of the most vulnerable in our society. Jesus taught us that by feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, clothing the naked, and caring for the sick, we are serving Him.
CST Preferential option for the poor Assembly

During assembly, we thought about the different ways we could reach out to our brothers and sisters in need. Both the Bible (The Word of God) and Pope Francis teach us to share what we have with others. Not just scraps, but the best that we have to offer.
Harvest Collection 2025
Our Pupil Chaplaincy Team decided that the school should collect and donate food to our local foodbank. Two members of the team stood at the gate each morning and afternoon to receive donations for our harvest collection. We thanked God for this food at our Harvest Mass. It was then donated to the Hammersmith and Fulham food bank based at St Andrew's Church.

CAFOD Family Fast Day 2025
'A better world needs us'
CAFOD
We welcomed a volunteer from CAFOD who shared the inspiring work their charity does and the real impact our fundraising has on our brothers and sisters around the world. Did you know that just £35 can provide clean water for a family for a whole year? A powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can transform lives.
Our CAFOD volunteer returned later in the term to present a certificate to the Pupil Chaplaincy Team for our fundraising in October as part of CAFOD Family Fast Day.
