Jubilee Year of Hope 2025
In the Catholic Church, a Jubilee or Holy Year is a special year of forgiveness and reconciliation, in which people are invited to come back into right relationship with God, with one another, and with all of creation.
The 2025 Jubilee Year began on Christmas Eve 2024 and concludes on 6th January 2026. For schools, the Jubilee launch day is on Friday 24th January 2025.
The theme for the Jubilee is Pilgrims of Hope. Pope Francis has invited Catholics to renew our hope and discover a vision that can ‘restore access to the fruits of the earth to everyone’. We are also invited to rediscover a spirituality of God’s creation in which we understand ourselves as ‘pilgrims on the earth’ rather that masters of the world.

Jubilee Festival of Hope
Our Pupil Chaplaincy team joined pupils and staff from over 130 schools in the Diocese to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Hope Festival at Westminster Diocese. This was a wonderful celebration of Hope, with a special liturgy led by His Eminence Cardinal Nichols.
CAFOD Jubilee Workshop
Classes participated in inspiring workshops with our CAFOD Volunteer all about the Jubilee Year of Hope.
EYFS and Year 1/2, enjoyed learning about what it means to be a Pilgrims of Hope and how we can spread kindness and hope in our world. Year 3—6 engaged in a variety of tasks to ultimately earn stickers for their 'passport' that spelt out 'Hope'. This passport took them on a spiritual journey where they had to think about what it would be like to go on a pilgrimage and what they would need to take.
Jubilee Celebration Day - World Youth Day!
The whole school took part in World Youth Sunday 2025 as we journey towards the end of this very special year.
We joined with over 64,000 young people from across England and Wales on this very special live stream day.
